Fleetwood Area Baseball Association

PRESIDENT

Brian Wessner
[email protected]
484-855-0972

Brian has been a member of FABA for 12 years during which time he served as President for four years and Vice President for two. He has coached at every level and has volunteered as an umpire for several years. His two sons, Nathan and Jared, played for FABA from tee ball through Babe Ruth and on several tournament teams. This experience as a board member, coach, umpire and parent has given him the perspective needed to effectively run the organization. In addition to his time spent with FABA, Brian has also served as Treasurer for Fleetwood Area Wrestling Association and as Treasurer for the Richmond Elementary PTA. Brian's wife Tricia also spends much of her time volunteering. Along with helping at FABA she is the President of the Fleetwood Ice Hockey Club and a past President of Richmond Elementary PTA. After three years away from the club, Brian returned as President in 2019 with the goal of revitalizing FABA. “If you have open and clear communication, treat everyone fairly and keep it fun, people will respond positively and FABA will once again thrive.”

VICE PRESIDENT

Josh Meck
[email protected]
484-955-5601

Josh has been a part of Fleetwood baseball from a young age playing at Smith field as a little leaguer. Josh has become more involved again with the FABA program from starting to coach his son Mason’s tee ball team a few years ago to now being elected into the Vice President position on the board and still coaching. Josh has a son (Mason) daughter (Briley) and his wife Brooke, all whom you will see around the ballfield helping where needed. With all of the changes coming to FABA and Smith field, he is excited to be able to contribute and help continue the legacy of Smith field that he remembers when playing baseball as a youth. The whole idea of the FABA program is to provide a safe place to educate youth about the sport of baseball, teaching good sportsmanship and most of all providing a fun environment for kids to be kids. At the end of the day, without the support and volunteers the kids would be missing out on such a wonderful place that has stood the test of time. During the off season when Josh isn’t at the field, he enjoys spending time with his family camping and making memories during their travels.

Matt is one that loves to help others any way he can and puts a lot of time into FABA to help make the updates as needed and to help player morale and development. In his free time he loves an adventure, hikes and sports. Matthew's main goal is to leave FABA a better organization than the way it was when he accepted being on the board.
